Landon made his first trip to church (after being born) when he was about one month old. We were all mighty proud of him. You should notice that at the time this picture was made Landon was considerably thinner than he is now. We were all amazed how big his feet were but then he put on 14 pounds and now his feet appear to be just regular size.
Since we see Landon on such a regular basis we have many opportunities to really get to know him. A few weeks ago while he was spending the afternoon with us Ola made the three pictures below. Notice the pacifier as it slips out of his mouth. He really likes to sleep on the sofa with his feet propped on me and I doze off with him as often as not.
Below is a collection of pictures made over the past few weeks. Landon likes the camera and will usually work with me when I'm in a picture-taking mood. As of last week Landon weighed 19 pounds and 14 ounces. As much as he's on the go we were somewhat surprised at how much weight he had gained. We have his toys in a hamper and when he arrives we just put the hamper down where he can get to it. As you can see he really gets into his work.
He has a very expressive face.
Ola makes quite a mess when she feeds Landon. Of course when you're trying to hit a moving target who can’t understand why there is such a long wait between bites then you start to understand the nature of the mess.
Landon’s current goal is to start walking. He has been crawling for several weeks and he started to pull up shortly after. Now he is interested only in standing up. He has two crawling modes. One is the standard knees and hands style but he is still learning that and is pretty slow. The second one is commando style. He looks like a soldier on his stomach advancing toward the enemy. All that’s missing is a rifle. He uses the standard method until there’s need for speed at which time he drops into commando style.
For Halloween Landon and his aide selected a lion costume. As you can see he was absolutely precious in it. We tried to teach him to roar but the most we ever got was a grating noise out of the corner of his mouth. Next year we’ll perfect the roar. Even if he's not a lion next Halloween he can use the roar any time.
Landon is quickly learning that that there's no such thing as privacy and the picture below shows just how surprised he was when this picture was made.
