This morning, Christmas, Ola and I visited Landon at his house to see what sort of gifts he had received last night while he was visiting his Gammy's (Ashley's Mom) house and to see what Santa had brought him this morning. The answer was a lot! The picture below shows some of the haul along with some toys he "inherited" from Kendall and Addie.
In addition to the toys he also received a pile of clothes.
There was one additional gift from Santa that Landon was opening while we were there. He received numerous electronic toys and from the look on his face in the next picture he appears concerned that he will be able to learn how to operate this new one. He's getting his Dad to give him some assistance.
He was already fairly proficient with one of the other toys as he demonstrated for us.
With a little help from some of his family members he’s also able to use the rocking frog. Yes, that’s correct a rocking frog. I suppose you’ve never before seen a rocking frog. You need to get out more.
Just as I expected Landon was able to quickly
learn his newest toy and had even started to instruct Otto on how to use
it.
As per usual Otto was not very receptive to the idea of being taught by an instructor who is less than 2 feet tall and has a very heavy accent. Will had to take Otto aside and have a talk with him

That’s exactly what we did today at Matt and Kristen’s house, and Kristen had the table beautifully set for the occasion. As a matter of fact she had the whole house decked out for Christmas. She served baked ham, green beans, potato casserole, pineapple casserole, and croissant rolls plus pound cake, strawberries, and whipped cream for dessert. (I'm starting to sound like Grandpa Jones on Hee Haw). Most of us ate as if we hadn’t eaten since last Christmas.
After the meal comes the dispersal of the presents and then the opening of the presents. Kendall and Addie are professional present openers but Landon prefers just to pull the tissue paper out of the bags.
Kendall got a top and some jeans and a pair of pajamas.
Among other things, Addie got a new pair of boots. To say that she was excited is to make an understatement. Her dad helped her put them on and she then showed them off.
All the grandchildren gave Ola and me a very special present. It's a platter with their hand prints on it.
Here they are demonstrating how their hand prints got on the platter.
Granny Dot and Landon spent quite a bit of time together. Mama Lois and Bobby were visiting Bobby's family in Port St. Joe, FL.
For those of you who comment on the scarcity of photos of Ola and me here's a few with the kids.
And for those of you who remember, it just wasn't too long ago that the two young men in this photo we running around and opening Christmas presents just like their kids are now.

Saturday, December 19th Dot and Jack invited the combined Riley, Russell,
She caused quite a stir and all of us took turns holding her. Her grandparents seemed to take several turns each but the rest of us could understand.
Also in attendance was Amanda and Richard (Spence was working).
We each took our turn holding Savannah and she seemed to handle all the attention very well. Dot and Jack's house was beautifully decorated and the food was marvelous and plentiful.
No gathering is complete without the "In-law" picture. Laura did the honors of making it this year. It should be noted here that Dot and Jack are celebrating their 38th wedding anniversary today (December 20th). Congratulations you two.
